  • [es-pree de less-ka/-iay] (idiom) A witty remark that occurs to you too late, literally on the way down the stairs. The Oxford Dictionary of Quotations defines esprit de l'escalier as, "An untranslatable phrase, the meaning of which is that one only thinks on one's way downstairs of the smart retort one might have made in the drawing room."

I know it is very stressful when a pet is missing; I hope he's okay and comes back to you soon. <3

(I must admit I am also very curious about what is involved in a "cat tent city.")

Thanks Kristen.

I'm curious about that too. I didn't get to see it, but that's how my mom described it, like a little homeless cat shelter.

I hope Frank comes home soon. I know just how stressful it is when a beloved pet disappears.

FRANK! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!?!?

Lady, I'm freaking out on your behalf. I'm sorry if that isn't helpful. I told my mom about it today and she is sending all of her good thoughts your way.

All my good luck and love to you, friend!!!!

Oh no!!!! I hope Frankie-pie comes home soon. You need to put a lo-jack on that rascal!

Dear Bachelor Frank,

Please come out of your man cave (or cat tent city or whatever) and see your ladies. You have overstayed and are missed.
Love, ALL OF US
